I am not sure where did it originate, but every stall in Singapore and Malaysia claims they serve “Hong Kong Wonton Noodle” or has a sign that says it.
Since I am here, I shall try the “original” wonton noodle. Mak’s Noodle has been selling wonton noodle for generation. It’s famous for its very small bowl noodle with 4 wontons at HK$36. It’s more of a appetiser than main course for me to be honest.
Quality plays a vital role than quantity when it comes to food, at this age. I must say the springy noodle and freshly made wonton served in the clear, tasty soup is god sent!
Drop by Mak’s Noodle when you are in town, you will truly enjoy the original Hong Kong wonton noodle!
